Link browser does not insert correct link if the url has been copied from the RTE (Rich Text Editor)

• Type www.google.com into the RTE
• type some text
• hit control shift k
• select the links browser
• paste the url into the links browser
• save
• click on the link

If you are in a local instance, the property panel will show a link of "http://localhost:8080/www.google.com"
Further, if you open the links browser again, no link will appear
If you save the page, the link text appears red.
