    Description

Currently, MySQL 4.x appears in our list of "not supported by will probably work" databases here:

      http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/List+Of+Supported+Databases

In Confluence 3.0, we'll be improving the performance of some of our database queries using nested queries. These queries won't work with MySQL 4.0 because it doesn't support subqueries. However, it is likely that MySQL 4.1 will continue to work despite still being unsupported.

Could you please note in the 2.10 release notes that changes are planned for Confluence 3.0 which will prevent it working with MySQL 4.0? We should recommend that customers using this database upgrade to MySQL 5.
