NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

It would be great if a user can configure settings to allow for removal of trashed pages after a certain point. i.e. purge all deleted content in the trash that is more than a week old.
This is presently not possible due to the lack of information regarding deleted objects stored in the database.

[CONFCLOUD-7905] Enable removal of trashed pages at certain point

The original description suggests that a user should have the feature to schedule purges. I'd like to add my support for this, but suggest also that it would be great if a Confluence Administrator could initiate a purge of all wiki spaces on a scheduled basis.

If we could solve this issue it would be really beneficial to our company. As I try to maintain the stats, trash, and all for about 250 employees and 20-25 global spaces. Would be nice to do it with a touch of a button!

For our instance of confluence this is a problem, too. We really would love to see this request resolved.

I think it is great idea, too

Confluence seems to have a problem where a huge amount of space is wasted due to trashed pages.
We believe that because of this problem, we are having severe performance problems with our server.

we strongly request to solve this issue!!

In order to solve the issue of removing trashed pages at certain point, we need to know the LASTMODDATE and LASTMODIFIER attributes on deleted objects.
