Details

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

This issue is to track the general ability to create team rosters. This would include the following stories:

      • As a roster owner, I can define a team/list of people that are in the roster
      • Team Calendars can automatically generate a roster for me based on some rules
(e.g Duration of roster period, frequency)
      • Nice-to-have Ability to define roster roles (primary support contact, stand-buy contact) etc... for each person.

... there is a lot we could do here, if you are interested in this feature please comment below and share what specific part of this feature is the biggest pain point for you? If we could solve one of these problems what would it be? What is the most painful part about organising a roster?
      Cheers,
      Team Calendars team

      Customer Feedback from Pieter:

      Good day,

I would like to use the Team Calendars to automate our standby process.
The current process involves a Excel spreadsheet macro where the macro automatically fills in the next team member on standby (it iterates through a list of available members). It also flags the standby as a problem if there is a conflicting task such as leave.

      Note:
      - There can be different sets of groups consisting of the same people
      - You can specify which group of people is active from which period onwards
      - The calendar can have different sets of standby's (qa, live, south africa, namibia etc) which can use a group of people.

Please do ask me if you have any questions. I've attached an example which might assist.

      Thanks!
        Pieter
