      Problem Definition

If the scheduled, "Clean Temporary Directory" is running during a manual backup job, the scheduled cleaning job will clear out the temp folder, removing the entities.xml file. The Confluence backup processes continue, but no backup is created.

      Suggested Solution

Set Confluence to not run the Clean Temporary Directory if a backup job is in progress.

      Workaround

Use a cron expression to set the "Clean Temporary Directory" schedule to a date in the future that will not interrupt with your backup job.

      1. Cog Icon > General Administration > Scheduled Jobs
      2. Edit Clean Temporary Directory
      3. Set the Cron Expression to a time that is after your manual backup
