As Confluence page names must be unique within a space, the Import Word Document in Confluence would fail should there are duplicate headings exist in that Word document file, given the Split by heading option is chosen.

Suggested Solution

To implement a feature that will automatically handle this error by adding padding to those duplicates headings.

Workaround

Remove any duplicate headings before importing the affected Word document
