This very simple option of disabling email notifications for an entire Space and/or content updates as you do them, from being sent to either all users / groups on the space and/or specific users by way of a simply "tick box" setting, which does does not seen to be an unreasonable request.

The scenario is that currently my CEO wants to be copied on the space so they can have visibility of the project and some of its content.
He does not however want to be spammed every time someone updates the smallest amount of content.
