      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      In the older 3.x releases, a click on a red link (uncreated page) took you to a new page screen where you could select a template.

      In 5.x, that option to select a template has been removed for "red" links. It only appears when you create a page via the "create" button.
