      Atlassian Update: 24 February 2022

      Hi all,

Thank you for your continued feedback and support on this issue. I'm excited to announce a few developments here.

First, in a few months we will be rolling out a new Confluence Daily Digest email to customers. Now, instead of receiving notifications about every page update that happens across pages or spaces you follow, you'll receive a once daily summary of all updates across all of the content you watch. We're really excited about the potential here to help our customers stay informed about what's happening around their teams without feeling spammed by too many notifications.

Second, in the next 12-18 months we will be looking into many ways to improve how our Watch and Follow features work across Confluence to make them more usable and intuitive for customers. We will take this specific feedback into consideration as part of that effort.

Both of these updates together should help address the core problems related to this feedback, giving customers better defaults and more control over their notifications experience across Confluence. Stay tuned to our community for more details in the coming months.

      Best,
      Daniel Ayele

      Problem Definition

The space owner, cannot manager users watching all blog posts in their space.

Space owner can only manage watchers of specific pages/blog posts in that space.

Many users only watch the blog for keeping up with the news in the space and not the actual content.

      Example:
We have a JIRA space in our Confluence instance. This space contains all system and operational documentation of our JIRA instance. Information not so interesting to the organization. However, the blog in the JIRA space is used for information about upgrades, new features, downtime etc. This is very interesting to the users. Therefore the users only watch the blog of the space and not the space itself.

      Suggested Solution

Add the ability for the space owner to manage all blog watchers.
