    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

Upon clicking on Thumbnail image does not open if placed in Table.
      Steps to reproduce:
      1) Attach Image to Confluence page (0.5meg, 1280x720, .jpg in my case)
      2) Resize thumbnail to any size
      3) Save page and notice thumbnail opens large image upon clicking
      4) Edit page
      5) Create Table (1 columns, 2 rows)
      6) Move image into 1st table row.
      7) Save page and notice thumbnail now does not open image any more.
(moving image back out of table, makes it work again)

Just extend functionality you already have (tables+picture tool):

      • Add "caption" option in picture tools / or in effects.
      • Caption option opens sort of "insert table" menu with picture in middle and selectable Left/Right/Up/Down options. Selecting those 1-4 basically creates table cells around picture(with disabled ordering feature).
      • Add options for text rotation inside that cell if not already there, so it's possible to write from top to bottom on right side for instance. (didn't try)
      • If adding it into "effect" don't name it Instant Camera it's confusing.
