Allow Confluence users to hide the "getting started" steps

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

NOTE: Only Confluence administrators see these getting started steps. They are not visible to end users.

Right now install customers can remove it by following the steps at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Customising+the+Getting+Started+Guide+on+the+Dashboard.

Confluence Cloud customers will need a way to hide this since they don't have the ability to edit layouts.

[CONFCLOUD-28255] Allow Confluence users to hide the "getting started" steps

There should be a message "Do not show again". Even when "Skip" is selected, the message shows next time again which is very annoying. I would like to have an option to "Skip" the message permanently.

This part is important: NOTE: Only Confluence administrators see these getting started steps. They are not visible to end users. Will be cool if that note is visible from Confluence, I suppose that the all users are seeing that.

It seems a little silly to have designed "Getting Started" to display in perpetuity, but only for certain users. Why not have it set to display only for users with space create permission that are less that a week old? Or a dismiss button somewhere...

I'd love to be able to either remove or edit the content of the "Getting Started" section.

Yes, would love that, too. Takes away a lot of space.

I would love to see something like a checkbox toggle to hide the "Get Started" section for admins on the homepage/dashboard.
