At present there's no way to include dynamic content in a header or footer of a pdf. Allowing macros to be exported or something similar may be a way to work around this issue.

[CONFCLOUD-16733] Allow dynamic content in headers/footers of pdf exports

            Hello!

We have a request from our users that would like to export pages with current date. It would be applyed to many pages that should be exported from time to time and must have the date because it will be used as document in some specific mettings that require it as a sign of the version that has been approved or not

Sorry if I was a little confusing, but in summary I just wanted to express that this feature would help with some important process that we have

            Thanks!

            Hello,

As part of the PDF export, we need the electronic signature (using Comala workflows) on the document also exported. This is currently available through the workflow history as part of page properties.

This is to meet CFR requirements whereby each signature shows who signed, as what and the date and time of signature.

This will enable us to export documents as PDF from Confluence and submit to regulatory agencies.

            Thanks

We really need the publish date in the footer for auditors. Please include that! Thanks - JAB

Hi all - my name’s Steven and I’m the Product Manager that works on PDF Export. Thanks a lot for your feedback. As we’re continuing to improve this feature, understanding use cases like all of yours is super important. I recognize the frustration with this ticket - especially since it hasn't ever been responded to.

We are currently in the process of revamping PDF export to fix issues, provide additional functionalities, and refresh the user experience - this ticket will be taken into account as one of the highest voted suggestions. I don't yet have any timelines but expect to hear back on this ticket soon.

            Thanks again for your feedback.

            Cheers,
            Steven | Atlassian Product Manager

I can't help think Atlassian will not be adding this feature... because I suspect there is too much of partnership with 3rd party vendors to sell this feature as another cash stream.  I just rec'd a support ticket reply and it felt more of a sales pitch to purchase 3rd party solution that a willingness to help.

This is forces us to use google docs meeting notes instead of confluence for notes that we want to share with clients, just so I can get a branded image into the export header.  Geesh.

Ahhh I had worked at a company that wasn't using confluence for a while, and now I've come back. It's good to see that Atlassian is still ignoring anything to do with PDF export from the cloud despite the fact that almost everyone who uses Confluence needs to export from it.

Feature request is 10 years strong! Keep up the great work Atlassian!

Headers & Footers don't work for individual pages & can't add dynamic relevant data such as:

            • current date/time
            • document title / name / URL
            • breadcrumbs
            • Page # of ##

however I am unable to do this in Confluence 5.5.4.
Are these 2 issues going to be fixed please?
            If so, when please?

Why can't you use the top page for the title of export pdf in header or the first item in table of contents for the title in header. Both of these are known.
