NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

It would be very useful if the WYSIWYG editor provided a way to create image-maps. We have various flowcharts/diagrams for describing processes, each step of which is another confluence wiki page. It would be useful if clicking on any step in the process diagram led you to the corresponding page.

The current solution we are using is to create image maps in Visio, exporting to HTML, using a perl script we have written to convert the imagemap to the format supported by the image map plugin (http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFEXT/ImageMap+Plugin), and pasting that into confluence.

Obviously this process could be much more streamlined, and would probably useful to many other users of the product if it was nice and easy to use.
