Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Global admins should be given the ability to specify a particular group to represent "Registered Confluence Users." For instance, it would be extremely valuable if I could set our LDAP group "Users" to represent "Registered Confluence Users" rather than the Confluence default group, "confluence-users". This would make space creation and permissioning more intuitive for the common user. Currently the only member of the "confluence-users" group in our Confluence instance is the administrator. All other user/group permissions are managed by our LDAP server. Giving the admin the ability to set the default "Registered Confluence Users" group would eliminate a lot of the headaches our "non-technical" wiki users are experiencing in trying to make their spaces viewable and editable by others.
