First row of editor is hidden underneath wiki markup toolbar in IE7 and IE6

      In IE6 or IE7...

      1) Set default editing mode to Wiki Markup.
      2) Go to any page and add a comment.

      The first row of the comment box is hidden underneath the wiki markup toolbar.

            Good point. Also worth noting IE8 in compatibility view is really an IE7 emulation, so it should get the benefit of the patch above. That is, if anyone's having this problem with users on IE8, the patch or upgrade should resolve the problem. As would switching out of compatibility mode.

            Just to clarify, this DOES affect IE8 if 'Compatibility View' is turned on.

            Cheers, Ben. Works as advertised.

            I've created a patch which can be applied immediately without waiting for the next release.

            Note: Administrator access required; and the patch should be removed once Confluence 3.3 has been installed.

            1. Go to Confluence Admin - Stylesheet
            2. Paste the following lines at the end of your custom CSS:
              /* START patch for CONF-19065 */
              /* Remove this patch after upgrading Confluence 3.3 */
              #com-atlassian-confluence #markup { *margin-top: 14px; }
              /* END patch for CONF-19065 */

            Patch tested on 3.2.1_01; checked IE6, IE7, IE8, Safari 4, Firefox 3.6.

            This is a serious problem for our organization. Any chance the release of this fix could move up to 3.2.x rather than 3.3? thanks

            There is a similar problem which has been deleted (CONF-19429) about the first line missing from the main page when opening it for editing in wiki markup. If you switch to Rich text and back again the line is displayed correctly.

            This also effects 3.2, in case there is any question. Perhaps the title should be changed to indicate that this effects pages also?

            Confirmed that this doesn't affect IE8.
