Description
User Problem
Currently, only organisation admins have the ability to access billing information in the Admin Hub. Some of the endpoints that only org admins have access to are:
- Billing preview:
https://admin.atlassian.com/o/{Org_ID}/billing-preview
- Overview:
https://admin.atlassian.com/o/{Org_ID}/billing/overview
- Manage subscriptions
https://admin.atlassian.com/o/{Org_ID}/billing/applications
This can be problematic in large enterprise organisations because org admins tend to be responsible for the technical aspects of the application not the financial aspect. These responsibilities usually lie with other members of the organisation than might not have the technical training to be given org admin rights.
Suggested Solutions
Having the ability to retrieve comprehensive billing information via REST API could alleviate this requirement, as companies can then work on custom integrations to provide these non-technical members with proper visibility over important billing information. Some of the required information to be returned by the endpoint would be:
- List of sites
- User limits and usage (licenses consumed and total licenses available)
- Information per product on each site
