      The general gist is:

      1. implement MavenPomAccessorCapableRepository on your Repository
      2. inherit from MavenPomAccessorAbstract and implement SCM specific details
      3. add a new freemarker resource with the name "mavenPomCheckoutAccessEdit" that has specific details for your repository when importing a Maven project to the atlassian-plugins.xml
