Description
If I have local agents on the same machine as the Bamboo metadata server, then I can navigate the build working directory. This isn't true of remote agents, and I'd like it to be.
I can see the following scenarios:
- Remote agent launches an HTTP server on the filesystem which only the metadata server can connect to and passes through the resources. This would be an extremely quick, painless way to add this functionality.
- Or, it's all done over JMS
- I can give a network path (if the files are shared using NFS or CIFS) in the configuration of the remote agent indicating how its build working directory would appear to the metadata server, then the metadata server can read from that remote path to serve the resources.
I mention this highly because our plan on full Bamboo adoption is to ONLY have remote agents, and have the metadata server running on its own process.
