Description
After upgrading SBAC to Bamboo 5.7-m5, we noticed the following error in the logs on start-up:
2014-10-16 03:41:49,818 INFO [AtlassianEvent::0-BAM::EVENTS:pool-4-thread-1] [InitialiseSmackOnStartup] Bamboo smack client failed to startup. Oct 16, 2014 3:41:49 AM org.jivesoftware.smack.PacketReader$ListenerNotification run SEVERE: Exception in packet listener java.lang.NullPointerException at org.jivesoftware.smack.keepalive.KeepAliveManager.schedulePingServerTask(KeepAliveManager.java:274) at org.jivesoftware.smack.keepalive.KeepAliveManager.access$400(KeepAliveManager.java:54) at org.jivesoftware.smack.keepalive.KeepAliveManager$4.processPacket(KeepAliveManager.java:174) at org.jivesoftware.smack.Connection$ListenerWrapper.notifyListener(Connection.java:858) at org.jivesoftware.smack.PacketReader$ListenerNotification.run(PacketReader.java:456) at java.util.concurrent.Executors$RunnableAdapter.call(Executors.java:471) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.run(FutureTask.java:262) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1145) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:615) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745)
Is this something we need to worry about? Does this mean that Bamboo's XMPP functionality is broken in m5?
