Bad recovery from failure for initial checkout to complete

    • VMware image a long way (and a proxy server) away from the SCM repository on sourceforge

      The network went down during the initial checkout from the SCM repository; not everything got checked out.

      -the tool seemed to think it was still in the 'preparing for the initial build' state,; stopping the build didnt affect this. A server stop/start seemed to do the trick.

      Since then, the build is in a bad state. Bamboo tries to run, but of course there is no build.xml

      -failures to check out need to be handled...there's no point trying to run ant until all the files are there
