              Hello,

              Can we get a update on this request? It's almost 4 years, to implement such a basic functionality. Every bad AI nowadays can do this.

              Not gonna lie, i was disappointed, that in language support, i couldn't add language to the list and translate for myself.

              So, it's 2024 but translation in Latvian, and other language support is still in backlog. Many years ago there is support from automatic translation tools, customers are willing to do community translation job, but no luck.

              The same thing is in Estonia. A lot of companies started using Atlassian Cloud and then at some point Atlassian stopped translating Estonian. Now a lot of things are broken in estonian which is not what they signed up for initially. You should really consider creating at least some kind of community translation options.

              Many of our public sector clients need this feature. There are clients which cannot go to Jira Cloud just because there is no localisation to LT

              Please reconsider your approach into how you prioritize and implement language support in Jira products. If language is spoken by less people then, let's say, Polish, doesn't mean your customers in the that country should be left in the dark.

              Providing support in native language is not only a good tone, it's critical! English language even in a lot of the developed countries is spoken by only 30-40% of the population. We cannot rely on that.

              None of the customers served by Jira Service Management should be forced to learn different language just because the system cannot provide notifications the way they understand. It is the same as if we would talk to Atlassian in this ticket in Lithuanian and would expect Lithuanian in response. Would it be acceptable client to customer communication? Probably not.

              At current state, I'm afraid, Jira Service Management is suitable only for global support desks, not local companies.

              I tried this approach, but faced problems: 

              1. not all user interface is translated (or i did not find where to translate rest of it). Even Customer portal is partly translated, most of UI stays English. 
              2. You need to change language for your customers, in order to set language. 

              But I agree it is step forward as Request forms and notification emails can be translated. So only option is to choose one of "free" English languages (if your default language is set to English (US), choose English (UK), for example) and translate this "free" English language to be able to understand rest of UI.

              Thank you for your replies. I understand your frustration. Please be assured I didn't simply close the ticket. Thank you for flagging that the incorrect resolution status had been selected, it was an oversight. We do monitor language requests very closely and we sincerely hope we can support Lithuanian in the future. This is not a 'Won't fix' situation, but more a case of 'Cannot fix for now'. We will of course get back to you as soon as we are able to support Lithuanian.
