For Data Center, see this article:  https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/writing-user-macros-4485.html.

It gives steps to create a "Stylish" macro that allows users to specify things like Font Size.

I am also simply trying to figure out how to reduce the font size in a table on my documentation. I should be able to reduce the text font size to something smaller than "normal text" without having to select a paragraph "heading" size to do so. Not requesting full font formatting, just requesting to add a pre-defined style for normal text with smaller font size.

Please prioritize it. Please allow to use some smaller text on the table and especially inside the tables

Simply trying to figure out how to reduce the font size in a table on our wiki page. I'm not a wiki-expert, but it would seem I should be able to reduce the text font size to something smaller than "normal text" without having to select a paragraph "heading" size to do so. Searches in the forums about this go back to 2011 or even earlier. I can't find a clear answer other than, "good luck."

OK, Rajat, so you want to have your users style each page like they want it? Or do you want them to keep styling guidelines of your company. Are you sure that font selection solves cross-browser issues? How do you want to handle fonts not available on mobile, Mac OS, Linux platforms? Waiting for your suggestions...

Shouldn't this be a basic feature in a tool that is used mainly for documentation?

We have lot of users asking for such feature. Appreciate if you could prioritize this.

There was some good discussion in this thread where a few of us with different opinions on the subject agreed that it would be reasonable to ask for a space-specific setting that would determine whether a space used 'strict' formatting (the current style) or 'loose' formatting (enables more of TinyMCE's features to provide an experience closer to what some users expect.) That way space admins could decide if they need to prevent user's misguided creativity from making things inconsistent and possibly difficult to read, or if their space's users can be trusted to use those features in a well-considered and deliberate way.

I am with Jan-Peter Rusch at least half way – administrators should be able to determine the level of formatting control given to users. However, this feature is absolutely needed. Users end up doing things like abusing sub/superscript or admins end up enabling the embedded HTML macro to appease their users (though it isn't even helpful in most cases and presents security concerns.) This is worse than possibly breaking hypothetical style guidelines which may not even be a concern for some spaces.

The idea of creating user macros is something, but requires extra training and does not cover all the use cases that a simple 'font size' drop down menu would.
