Case description
Site-admins not necessarily need to consume a license from each product and, in fact, if the instance Product access settings are tweaked you can have site-admins not consuming licenses to all products. This is a very popular used approach for SD licenses.
Steps to Reproduce
- Make sure the site-admins group doesn't have access to one or more products.
- Get a user with basic access and turn him into a trusted user.
- Add him to the site-admins group manually(don't use the Roles select list).
- Check the license counts and the user should be consuming a license for all products.
Suggested behavior
The user should be added to the site-admins group and removed from the hidden trusted-users group as it happens when granting the site-admins access through the Roles select list.
Current behavior
The user becomes a site-admin but remains a member of the trusted-users group and per the trusted users logic he will automatically consume a license for all products no matter what.
Workaround
Through the Roles select list, make the user trusted again and then a site-admin.
If there's only one site-admin at the instance please contact Atlassian Support for help.
