Issue Summary
Team calendars allow you to add restrictions to a calendar so that only the proper users can edit it (and everyone else can view the calendar), by selecting the Anyone can view, only some can edit restriction setting.
However, currently this permission setting is not working as expected in Confluence Cloud.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a calendar.
- Set the restrictions to Anyone can view, only some can edit
- Add your account.
- Set the restriction to Can edit.
- Then, save the settings.
Expected Results
As it happens with page restrictions - with Anyone can view, only some can edit setting above applied the Team Calendar should be restricted so that everyone can see it, and only you can edit.
Actual Results
You can edit (and view) this Team Calendar, but no one else can view this Team Calendar.
Attempting to reopen Team Calendar's Restrictions dialog will also show option Only specific people can view or edit is being selected instead of Anyone can view, only some can edit.
Workaround
We could add Can view restriction to the default access group by following the steps below:
- Choose . . . option on the right side of a calendar's name, then choose Restrictions
- You should then see the Only specific people can view or edit restriction listed.
- Add the default access group for Confluence.
- Set the restriction to Can view.
- Then, save the settings.
