As a Trello user, I want to be able to archive template cards

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      User Problem

Currently, when you create a template card, there is no option to archive the template card. Rather, an option is shown to delete the template card.

Because deleting a card is unrecoverable and permanent, this may result in accidental deletion of a card. It may also cause confusion, particularly if the user just wants to remove the card as a template, or simply just archive the card.

      Suggested Solutions

Change the Delete button to an archive button, similar to the process available to archive regular cards.

      Current Workarounds

To archive a card, a user needs to untick the Template option which will make archiving available again. This is not very clear and we could make this clearer.
