NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.

The status field was available to admins as a 'general purpose' field for confirming if people had paid etc. Now that anyone who has edit permission is an admin it is much more visible. I think we can get rid of it for now and see if anyone request this kind of functionality back. ]
