Usually I can click the create a pull request button while viewing either the fork or the upstream repo, and then select fork/master as source and upstream/master as the destination.
Today, I got errors when attempting to create the PR from the forked repo UI. I could create a PR when I navigated to the upstream repo first.
On the error page, I see that the destination has my fork selected rather than the upstream repo I had selected, and this error: Pull requests can only be created between branches of two different repositories, or two different branches of the same repository.
