One thing I like about perforce is that you can diff all different versions. If you could support this in Stash for Git repos that would be awesome.

Thanks Jay. Also, if you are interested in learning more about Stash, a good forum may be to ask on http://answers.atlassian.com/

            Cheers!

Okay, I think that is suitable rather than differing two different commits. You can close this.

            Thanks,

            Hi Jay
Stash already supports viewing file diffs. From the source view, click on the history button to see the log of changes made to the file. To see the diff to the previous version, simply click on the "Diff to previous" button.

Is this what you are looking for?

            Hi Seb,

I guess it would be nice to see how a file progressed and what change was made. Maybe this isn't the norm for git repos and it's preferable to look at one diff at a time. Would this be at least possible? Meaning I don't want to have to look at all the commits for a repository I would like to see what they were per file. I could also see the need for differing between branches/tag points as well.

            Thanks,
            Jay

            Hi Jason,
I would be interested, what is the rationale for performing a diff between arbitrary revisions? I am wondering if you need true arbitrary diff, or it would be sufficient for nearly all use cases to diff between branch/tag points instead?

            Cheers,
            Seb
