Description
Sourcetree 2.1 is great. However, upgrading to 2.1.10.0 made it extremely difficult to use due to non-responsive interface on nearly every action on a very fast computer.
After seeing others with these problems on certain versions, I downgraded to 2.1.7 and found that the performance problem doesn't occur anymore.
The performance problem doesn't seem related to the Internet or virus scanning, I don't have security software enabled, and the Internet is working fast.
It was taking 10 to 20 seconds to do basic actions like refresh or add a repository. Any remote Bitbucket operations were also very slow, with the green bar on top left seeming to go on forever. It felt like a single-threaded blocking operation was taking over the interface too often in the new version.
