Description
I no longer able to clone a repository from a new computer with 3.4.8. I am 100% sure the file path is correct as I can clone with 3.4.4 on my old computer. With the new version, it does not say it is a Git repository and says there is a "Error: fatal: protocol error: bad line length character: bmbe", where bmbe is the start of the file path with my username first. The remote repository is another company computer specified using username and IP address.
Another employee has the same issue with 3.4.8, and then we are having a painful process trying to uninstall and reinstall with 3.4.4 where we know the repository issue doesn't exist. When we reinstall with 3.4.4, it crashes immediately or as soon as Clone is selected.
