Description
Same as before: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN-7168
It says fixed but you destroyed it again in version 3, apparently.
Problem Definition
SourceTree gets installed in %localappdata%\SourceTree folder and it's not possible for the users to change the installation location.
Some users would like to be able to do so, e.g. because this folder is protected by an antivirus and to start the program, they have to disable the scanner once.
Suggested Solution
Allow users to select the installation location for SourceTree.
Additionally
What's up with programs lately just installing themselves into appdata and in C:\Program FIles\ without asking? Why do you think you can decide for me where I want to install it? Chrome, Discord, Sourcetree and some other impudent programs that think they know better. You don't know better. I have 3 places where I install my programs:
• Windows drive C:\ on SSD for drivers and the most core stuff like .NET and C++ redistributables, Windows updates.
• Second SSD drive D:\ for programs that require performance: UE4 editor, UE4 Engines, Visual Studio, etc.
• And then I have hard drive G:\ for all other programs.
Sourcetree would go on the HDD because it doesn't require good performance SSDs provide and it isn't a core part of the system.
Let us install programs where we want, not where you want.
