Disclaimer: I can't select 3.3.4 in version when creating this issue. Please move it to the right place if able.

When pushing new local branches to remote using the Push button, I have to multiclick on a checkbox or else I have an error:

The Remote branch '' (Local branch = 'mybranch') is invalid. Ref names must follow git ref-format rules:
      https://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/git-check-ref-format.html
      Completed with errors, see above.

[SRCTREEWIN-12593] Empty local branch name when pushing new branch

Remote branch is not available for newly created local branch, that’s why we don’t see any branch name in commit section:

In push dialog, user need to check the newly created branch checkbox:

once user check the newly created local branch, it’s local branch name become the remote branch name:

So, Just update to the latest version of Sourcetree.

For a reason I don't have, colleagues of mine were proposed to upgrade to newer versions by the app.
I was stuck at a 3.3.4 version even when triggering a ping to see if there is a newer version or not.

So I uninstalled the version I had and try to download SourceTreeForWindows again.

Magic happened: version 3.3.6 now installed and this bug is ancient time for me.

Hope that helps people from comments above.

I am so close to uninstall Sourcetree. Please consider it.

I know that this is market as low priority but this may throw away new users that installed for the first time Sourcetree.
