I think the whole point of "After committing, stay in commit dialog if there are still pending changes" is that you commit only a subset of your files at a time, not all of them.

So selecting all files after each commit is counter productive, especially since Ctrl-A does not select all files so it is a bit cumbersome to do the "check ALL files".
