I use dark Gmail, dark IntelliJ IDEA, dark browser, everything is dark except SourceTree.
The white user interface kills my eyes. Can we have an option for a dark theme?

Over 3 years since this was originally logged, and not a single f**k was given by Atlassian.
Congratulations, my team and I have now definitely moved to the paid version of GitKraken where updates are abundant and feedback are taken into consideration.

I agree with the other commenters, a dark theme would be good since the current one is too light and strains the eyes.

@Doc, I agree. How ever current version of SourceTree is freezing up on Windows 10 Pro (These issues seem to come back, on win 8 pro I had the same problems).
I welcome the competition, hopefully the SourceTree guys will wake up and add the features the user crave for (Linux support, dark theme) and restore good name!
@SourceTree guys, no disrespect intended. For now I still use SourceTree and I hope to enjoy your hard work in the future! (Please be careful, GitKraben is getting better!)
+1 to reopen. @Ron, I like gitkraken myself and have followed it for awhile, but I feel SourceTree handles certain things better than gitkraken does (to be expected, as gitkraken just hit open beta, and sourcetree has been around awhile). While I look forward to gitkraken continuing to improve, I still use sourcetree quite a bit and would love to keep it up instead of minimizing it every time I want the bright, white window to shoo away.

added a comment - SourceTree needs it's own dark theme... please. +1 to re-open. With the exception of the high contrast themes reminiscent of Xtree Gold, Windows doesn't truly have a legitimate dark theme. Going the 3rd party dark theme option I find, tends to leave Windows feeling a little bit busted.

+1 to re-open. I think changing according to Windows theme is not a good idea cause users like me would not want their Windows go dark.
