In the Diffs pref pane, all four colo[u]r wells display black. Worse, as soon as this pane is opened, the colors in actual diffs all change to black, so there's no more highlighting of changes.

      1. First launch of 2.6 beta (was running 2.5)
      2. Opened a repo and selected a commit; diff colors are somewhat different than before but visible.
      3. Opened Prefs
      4. Clicked "Diff" tab; all four color wells display black swatches.
      5. Looked at repo window; colors in diff pane are now gone.

I configured the colors again in the prefs, and they do show up now, although I had to refresh the diff view by switching to a different file.

Fixed for next beta, thanks again.

Additional note for others: Also this affected the settings for a parallel stable release, which means you have to update the colors even if switching back to stable (or older beta). Just clicking "Reset" is fine.

The diff view not refreshing is the existing behavior and I'd like to revisit in a future update. The remainder I'll investigate for the next beta, thanks for the report.
