Description
SourceTree doesn't show a normal diff for UTF16 files, instead it shows what looks to be some type of image, possibly it's a QuickLook generated image.
Being able to detect UTF16 files (easy via BOM) and generate a normal textual diff would be nice. Even if unicode text diff is not possible, at least detecting if the file is all ASCII code points and then do a diff of that would be nice.
For example whenever I edit an InfoPlist.strings file I can't view a proper diff and have to use a third-party app such as Kaleidoscope.
Or, do what FileMerge does and have the ability to use a third-party tool to generate textual version of a non-ASCII file (under Preferences > Filters).
