We are observing fluctuations in the install count for a few Forge apps

      Issue Summary:

      We are observing fluctuations in the install count for a few Forge apps. This issue is intermittent and is caused by an edge case in the analytics event processing.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Go to the manage partner -> Active installs 
      2. Check the install count for an app, compare with the older days (applicable very small set of forge apps)

      Expected Results

       Install count should not have the fluctuations, install count trend should be consistent.

      Actual Results

        We are observing the fluctuations in the install count

      Workaround

        Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior.

            Hi Everyone,
            Looking at the impact and the effort, we decided to not manually backfill the already calculated installation counts.
            Future installation counts should be correct and will not contain duplicate count.

            Hi everyone,
            Apologies for the delay, the fluctuation in installation count was happening due to the duplicate count for some apps. The issue is not fixed and deployed. In the future installation counts, you should not see any fluctuations due to it.

            We are still considering the requirement to do backfilling for the previous data, will provide update on it soon.

            Any news on this? We are still experiencing issues with the report numbers compared with the numbers from Developer Console. Since the ticket https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/34/ECOHELP-62883 was closed, we are waiting for this solution to have accurate numbers.
