Description
Problem Definition
After the migration to Jira Cloud, the Service Desk customers will lose their password due to:
- For Cloud -> Cloud migration, the backup file doesn't contain the password (nopass) as the passwords are stored externally.
- For Server -> migration, the backup contains password but Jira Cloud's using a different password storing method than Jira Server (pkcs5s2) and so the password no longer valid after the migration.
Suggested Solution
Ability for admins to trigger bulk sending the password recovery email to the customer accounts.
Why this is important
- Customers would be confused and fail to login with their account after the migration.
- Currently, there's no way for admin to trigger the password reset on the portal only accounts.
