Issue Summary
During the creation of the JWM project, an error occurred due to the duplication of the jwm-category field.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Create a "Category" type Custom field via Import.
2. Associate this Custom field with a JPD.
3. Create a new project.
4. Click on Work Management.
5. Click on Blank Project.
6. Provide a Name.
- This issue was caused during an import, so it might be difficult to replicate.
- However, the steps found on the customer's instance were shared.
Important details
- The duplicated category field displayed the message "Created by JIM during import process" on the page secure/admin/ViewCustomFields.jspa.
- Even with a JDP project associated, it shows as none on the custom field page.
- The most effective way to confirm this as the root cause is by running the API rest/api/3/field.
- If two "customfieldtypes:jwm-category" are found, it can be confirmed
- Example of duplicate output:
- We will find two jwm-category fields type
"custom": "com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.customfieldtypes:jwm-category",
- We will find two jwm-category fields type
Expected Results
- The project should be successfully created.
Actual Results
- The error below will be triggered:
Project not created. For some reason, the magic didn't happen. Click Create to try again.
Workaround
Move the category custom field to the trash.
