Issue Summary
When pasting the link of a JWM "Open" Form on a Confluence page, the Smart Link is not properly rendered for users without project access.
Since the Form is set as 'Open', the users will be able to access the Form by clicking on the link directly if they don't have access to the project - although is still required to them have access to Jira instance - however, they can't see the Form when it's embedded in Confluence.
The following message is displayed to the users without access to the project where the Form was created:
Uh oh. We can't find this link! We couldn't find the link. Check the url and try editing or paste again.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new Form in a JWM (Business Project) and set its level access to Open.
- Copy the link to the Form and paste it into a not restricted Confluence page
- Ask a user with a Jira License, Confluence License, and without access to the JWM project to go to the Confluence page and try to see the Form.
- It will not render properly and the error message will be displayed.
- Only Basic users will be affected, Jira Admins will still be able to see the Form on Confluence even without having access / being associated with the JWM project.
Expected Results
The Form hosted on a Confluence page should be properly displayed for users without project access.
Actual Results
The Form is not displayed for Basic users without project access on a Confluence page.
Workaround
- Granting the user permission to access the project where the Open Form was created.
- Asking the user to access the Form link directly since it's not possible filling it through the Confluence page.
Just a public thanks to the Atlassian team for responding to this bug report I put in so quickly.
I do hope it gets fixed as my company is trying to leverage the Open Forms feature.
