Just to confirm, the max limit of issues shown in the JWM board is 3K, which doesn't include the sub-tasks issues, right? 

The board issue limit has been raised to 3000 issues. Please let us know if you notice any problems.

1000 limit is ridiculous in 2023, this ticket should be highest priority , instead not even assigned to anyone!!!! Atlassian wake up

Any updates to this ticket? Any workarounds on the business board? This is incredibly frustrating as we have a few projects started on the business board and will be hitting the limit within the year. It will be a nightmare to reconfigure everything back to Software project and retrain our PMs. 

We were planning to move from Asana and start using Jira Workmanagement but this limitation of 1K tickets boards have forced us to continue with Asana. Jira have to seriously look after such small technical requests on priority and not loose business.

+1 We also facing the same issue. We have more than 1K issues and need to be able to work with them.

+1 - Our Board is useless since we reached the 1000. There is no workaround because we don't have Software Projects!

+1 - Please can you get to this ... I would assume this limit is for performance but surely for the display of more than 1000 issues, for the board view it only needs the summary, status and few extra fields as bare minimum and those can be lazy loaded? Thank you

Nothing is more disheartening than seeing a product-breaking bug be in 'gathering interest' for 5 years. 

If someone raised an issue with me that broke the functionality of the product, I'd be fired it was in 'gathering interest' for a week. 

Hi, this is a huge impact to my current project business board as we have epics with about a hundred tasks each, so 10 epics fills up the 'quota'. Addign a higher limit would be extremely useful to me.

Also is kind of unexpected if i filter by "assigned" and get no result because the board filter through the first 1000 issues only

This makes the board un usable, why is the board limited to 1000? It is also problematic that its the first 1000 issues as you can't remove the Done issues from the board.  Please prioritize this feature

This should be embarrassing for Atlassian...as if to say...our customers manage max 1000 issues per project, this is totally incorrect.

This is really too bad. I see 2 issues that are contributing to our need to move back to Jira Software, 1) this issue and 2) the fact that 'Done/closed' does not archive an issue, adding to the 1000 limit much faster.

This is a Work Management ender. 

Yes huge issue for our business.  Also, at the very least I want to be able to select the criteria for which of the 1,000 issues I want to see.  This feels like a big miss.  

So after 1000 issues, Jira work management board becomes useless.

Similar issue tracking product status on a business board.  Any issues over 1000 get cut off, which is prohibitive and stops us from being about to search accurately. 

We wanted to track more complex business processes in Jira Work Management and just when I'm about to migrate I learn, that the board stops working properly after 1000 issues? This is so frustrating as business boards also don't auto-hide already done issues.

Why can 5000 Jira tickets be accommodated in Jira Software but not in Jira core? Is it a server resource issue?

We are currently paying 2000€ a year extra for an add-on to give us forms, we would like to start using Business Project forms, however we have many projects which do have more than 1000 projects and this limitation will keep us from migrating. Kindly consider this in the future.

Same here we use a Business Project for creation between extern request and intern realiisations and we have lot more than 1000 issues.

Same issue as reported by Andrés González. We're having more than 1000 lab test requests handled by Jira and the board breaks because of this. Unacceptable behaviour for something dedicated to "Work Management"
