Adding this "hiding non working days" would provide a clean visual way on the burndown. 

Please, include this. It might be a "nice to have" thing as the information does not change a lot, but is still something that helps the user to see the information faster.

Given that the suggestion doesn't have an Assignee and the Reporter is no longer active, this might be dead in the water.

Having recently built an Excel based sprint report for a Trello board, which contains a burn-down chart that omits the non-working days, I had to wonder... what could be so hard about adding it to the Jira gadget?

7 years to gather interest, I guess there is some vote threshold they are looking for it.

how is such a simple piece of functionality not been worked on in 7 years?!  The Atlassian model of "buy an addon" is not an answer for many simple solutions that should be out of the box

Jamie - when you say it's being explicitly removed; what do you mean? You know for certain Atlassian is removing this option in the code? Or end-users need to? Or it's a configuration change?

Its explicitly being removed from gadget mode in the code... GH.BurndownChartView.setGadgetMode

Please make this an edit-option in the gadget, so you can choose the way to display this gadget.

This is a useful feature we would like to have on jira agile. Without the option to deselect non-working days, the burndown gives you a visual illusion that you are close to your guideline on a friday evening but only monday morning you realise how far away you actually are from the guideline.
