Currently there is no feature to sort the epics on the scrumboard. Every time when i drag story to attach to the epic, i need to keep keep scrolling through the epics to find the right one. I can do this manually when the list of epics is small but not when the list grows too long.

Would be good if the epics are sorted.

looks like the original request to consider the alphabetization option for epics was submitted in 2013, at which time it was stated that it would be reopened if they decide to address it if in the future. must have not come back to their list of considerations since....despite continued interest and multiple requests.

            might this be reopened soon?

@jdevenny, @mtokar @mjopson  - Could we please reopen this? I am promoting use of Epics but then its getting little unmanageable without sorting feature

            Why is this issue closed?

It could be not (yet) selected for a future version, which would just show how much the product management process is not adapted to small features that would improve users'life. But closed? Really, you desperatly lack a weight criteria in the process, according to the difficulty of the task

Shall I clone it , so that people can vote for it again?

This feature is still needed. Please consider reopening this issue; sorting long epic lists manually is not realistic, and there are no good ways to sort or filter them.

Yes.. this feature is badly needed, the epic list is bloated & there is no way to filter or sort it.

This feature is very much needed also for our project.
20 team members need to browse manually a list of more than 60 epics.
When do you expect this feature to be added?

Since the issue is "resolved", I can not vote on it for future consideration as something to be reopened. This would be useful for my team as well, as we are using a large number of epics for organizing the many smaller projects handled by our team on a day to day basis.

            Hi Michael,

Yes i agree i can drag and drop the epics manually to sort them, but when the list of epics gets way too long, its not feasible to do it manually.

            Thanks for reporting this issue.

You can sort epics already by dragging and dropping the epics amongst themselves. Be sure to "collapse" the epic cards, so that you can move through the epics more easily.

I agree. We routinely have 50+ epics, which makes them hard to sort manually.
