The quicksearch feature of SCRUM boards turned out to be super useful for our teams (especially when searching for a specific issue). Please make it available for KanBan boards (Work mode of both board types) as well!

Would be really cool to have this. Never noticed it doesn't exist since I was mostly using Agile Boards (which have this feature on the Backlog view) but with Kanban Boards there's no easy way to filter all tickets. Please consider adding this as the functionality is already there.

This seems like a must-have before switching from scrum to kanban

The basic type-ahead filtering style search is moderately useful on scrum boards and would be just as useful on Kanban boards. What would make this truly useful is a quicksearch field that supports JQL, so that I could do things like:

            • assignee = so-and-so
            • labels in (blah, blah, blah)
            • etc.

Since we've customers who are using Jira as a end user customer support system they can have up to a hundred of issues in the same board.

Giving them an easy way to Quick search in Kanban boards (and scrum work mode) would much improve their possibility to find issues. Now they need to scan all the issues in the board.

It would be very helpful to have the quick search in work mode in order to find a specific issue quickly so that you can start progress on it. This is currently a bit difficult if you have 40 or so issues in a sprint. Searching in plan mode would work, but it is extra work because I cannot just drag the issue to another column. The situation of course is a lot worse for Kanban boards as long as we do not have a Plan Mode....

Linking this issue to GHS-6175, as I suspect if you had Plan Mode for Kanban, that's where you would do most of your searching.

We use a Kanban board for cross-customer support and it would save us a lot of time if we were able to search the kanban.

The alternative (Ctrl+F) does not work properly, because issuecodes are minimized with dot's at the end of the projectkey.

Having this on work mode (both for Scrum/Kanban boards) would enhance issue lookup.
