We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.
As an agile board user, I would like to export the reports into a common format to show my product owner, who doesn't have access to my JIRA, so that he/she can see the sprint progress.
It would be extremely useful to be able to export the many great JIRA Software reports into at least one common format (e.g. PDF, excel, etc.). Our project's product owner is not local to us at all and cannot access out JIRA instance on our closed network. The only means we have of doing this currently is via a browser "Print or "Print Screen". Both of these solutions require major browser window formatting in order to work and have it appear barely readable.

[JSWSERVER-6135] Ability to export the Sprint reports into a common format
I would like to be able to download the Sprint Report because it shows the status of each issue at the time the sprint ended. If you click the link to show the issues in the Issue Navigator, it will show the current status. I also want to download the sprint report to get the issues that were removed from the sprint.
My ultimate goal is actually a pie chart that breaks sprint issues down by status at the time the sprint ended. ideally the pie chart would also include the number of issues or story points that were removed from the sprint.
As a product owner I want to provide stakeholders not in Jira a summary of how well we are completing the work promised in a sprint with the detail visible on the page.
I can't help but contemplate the irony about what is going on here.
One of JIRA's key features is to allow management of a backlog of items.
Yet here we are some 11 years after an initial request, still 'gathering interest'.
"Do as we say..... not as we do."
Bump. We should be able to export these reports to JPG, PNG, PDF for communication to non-Jira users, and we should be able to export the data behind the reports to Excel.
We are using Jira cloud. Ability to download the sprint reports, burndown, burnup charts in excel format will enable us to dive through the data to identify the root cause of the problems in sprint management. Please enable them on priority. And excel download can be helpful in creating archives for all sprints for future reference and data analysis.
same, we have trouble export the Sprint burndown charts in Confluence and its really bothering... Would love to have the feature
This would provide so much more value in terms of using the results in your reports. When can we see this happen?
My manager need this reports outside of Jira for his archive. Currently we have to build our own Excel files! which is not good cause we are using Jira to facilitate our processes.
Please consider making this export available! We would have so many more meaningful metrics to collect.
Exporting to CSV would be super helpful. Then I can manipulate the data. Really the only difference between a sprint report and an exported filter would be a columns that explain whether it was added to sprint, removed from sprint, or incomplete at the end of the sprint, and then the original point estimate vs final point estimate.
It's probably just teasing, however, I wonder if it would get the same amount of inattention if everyone making +1 comments clicked "Vote for this issue" in the right column under People
+1000 – but since this issue has been open for 8.5 years, is this just teasing us with something that will never happen?
+1 Critical to show commit vs complete with scope change over time.
+1 - even better, give me an API call that I can use to get this data. I'd like to be able to generate my own velocity report in excel with python.
Would love this feature to be added to Jira. Our team needs to print/export into a file (excel/pdf whatever) to track issues/scope changes throughout the sprint for reporting/compliance purposes, to be able to share with client POCs who either can't or won't access the report in Jira.
Hi there,
The inherent limitations of customizing a sprint report makes this feature extremely necessary. Thanks!
Hello! I'd love to have this feature (specifically for our sprint burndown) so I'm bumping this thread. Thanks in advance
Just a thought - a need to export sprint report out of Jira would be less relevant if there were more reporting gadgets and customisation options available in Jira. In the meanwhile - since report customisation options are limited in OOB Jira cloud (even with all the plug-ins available), the users will continue facing a need to export out of Jira so that they can produce meaningful reports for their target audience.
Dear Jira Team,
We would like to export the Sprint report, but we couldn't find any option in Jira.
Could you please provide proper guideline on this? So that we can easily export our sprint data.
Thanks for all your support!
DJ
+100 We have a huge need for this on our system of 10000 users, many scrum teams, etc. Please consider this soon - export to PDF is so standard in products I am just surprised it does not exist already.
Created: 06/Oct/2012 .... over 6 years to deliver a feature. Is this an ice box or ice age feature? As has been stated multiple times, this should be OOB, the data is there just provide a structure for export.
@David Segal if PDF is all you need you can easily open your report you want to export and press Cmd + P on Mac, or Ctrl + P on Windows / Linux to print the page.
The print css used in the report page is quite decent.
You can "print" to PDF in your browser.
At least in my Google Chrome ist looks really good.
You see the charts, what is done and what not, aso.
I hope that helps you as long as there is no button fo this?

I'm new to Jira (and it's still a very odd and confusing interface). I'm quite amazed there is no export to PDF or even print functionality. Please add this, I need to report monthly to a Board of Directors, and need to give handouts. Don't make me resort to Snipit .
Not sure, why you have to take votes for such an important feature. This should always be an Out of the Box functionality. Visualising the report vs having it printed to see what was promised and what is delivered and where we were. Any scope changes, sharing it to external stack holder, there are so many use cases. Sometimes if there is no connectivity it helps to showcase these reports and continue.
+1 Export the Sprint Report with details on story points delivered and points taken out over the number of sprints will be very useful feature. Thanks
+1! A very helpful feature to report sprints to management and gradually bring them into Jira to see it by themselves, since in a lot of companies Jira is still seen as a tech-only software tool.
+1 vote! And hopefully the export of the Sprint Report will include differentiation between Jira cards added to sprint after sprint start and those part of the original commit. They are noted via asterisk so hopefully that carries through to any downloaded export of the report. Thanks!
PDF View Plugin (6.0.1 or newer) can export Jira Software gadgets to PDF, including Sprint Burndown, Sprint Health and Wallboard (both Scrum and Kanban).
Using this you can set up custom Jira dashboards that can combine multiple projects, multiple sprints and also use non-agile gadgets, then transform this to a PDF (which itself is also customizable). It is fully integrated to the Jira experience and only takes a click in the "Export" menu.

+1 We need this feature in the web GUI by a single click, not downloading another package and write other bunches of code just for exporting the report.
+ 1 on this feature. As users, we rely on this features to speed up our process. It would be extremely helpful.
+1 This would save us a heap of time! Extracting data manually from burndown charts is not ideal. I'd love to automate my Sprint reporting.
+1 Is this even on the horizon? I see it has been outstanding for a long time
+1 on the whole thread, an easy and more efficient way to export would be greatly appreciated.
Same reason as most people above, need to be able to share sprint report with people not using JIRA so export to PDF/xls would be extremely helpful.
I also have high pressure from top Managers to see Burndown charts results and datas in the global project Mgt tool (Wave).
Thee is no way we can send picture of the results.
I'm doing it manualy, Sql would be good, Integrated function should be the best.
We have high level managers who do not use JIRA and are not involved in software development in any capacity. Allowing them to view reports in PDF would greatly help their understanding of our progress. Thanks!
This would be a great feature. We effectively have several departments across the business who in turn feed requests from their staff - almost as if they are acting product owners in their own right.
Regularly, they have requested a summary of where their own department is (e.g. manufacturing) in terms of tasks being in progress, or due for testing or blocked through lack of detail.
Currently, it's a bit cumbersome to collate this information. Being able to export them would be a definite time saver.
I agree with Tommi, We need a way to create a report for all of our teams based on the sprint data in JIRA.
Come on Atlassian all your reports should export. The Jira Reporting and Dashboard capability is not user friendly but then you suggest buying a plug in to get data this weak.
