When trying to change the owner of a rapid board, no username will ever be recognized. Even the current owners username comes up with the message "No Match".

We have tried user names, full names, even group names. There is no way for us to change the owner.

Our system uses LDAP, which works for every other area within the administration pages, but it is as if Rapid Boards can't access LDAP users when trying to change an owner.

Basically, for us it right now means that once a Rapid board is created it is always owned by that user, which makes it impossible to administer after a user is no longer involved in a project.

[JSWSERVER-5470] Unable to change owner of Rapid Board

            Hi Michael!

            Hi there Michael,

Unfortunately we have not performed extensive and purposeful testing on IE's "Document Mode" so the results of its use are completely unpredictable. Unfortunately it is not within our scope to support this browser mode in IE at the present time. You will, however, be pleased to know that it is on the roadmap to suport IE10 in JIRA6 and also the version of GreenHopper to be reased at the same time. The release of JIRA6 is coming within a couple of months.

            I hope this helps,

            Michael

            Hello Michael!
Thank you for this information. Yes, I am aware that IE in Compatibility View is not supported as documented in the Supported Platforms pages. I am, however, referring to the IE Document Mode settings.

Sadly, thanks to your input, I can now confirm that the feature is actually broken in IE9 Browser/Document Modes of IE10, while it works correctly in a native IE9. I am assuming from you statement that you only support the native and primary rendering engine of the browser?

Given how there is no patch for Jira 5.0 or higher versions and even Jira 6.0 still does not list IE10 as a supported browser more than six months after it was released, this is a deeply disappointing situation.

            Best regards, Michael

            Hi michael.k,

Thanks for contacting us there. Unfortunately if you see this behaviour on IE10 in IE9 compatibility mode then you could be experiencing this problem due IE not being supported by JIRA whilst in Compatibility Mode. Please see here for more information on our Supported Platforms.

That said if you are able to reproduce this behaviour on a supported browser then we would like our support team to investigate and confirm this as a bug. In that case can you please log a case in our support portal for our follow up https://support.atlassian.com

            Cheers,

            Michael

I have this problem too. Am using IE10 in IE9 mode, Greenhopper 6.1.5. No matter how I enter the user name (or a different user name), the drop down tells me that no matches are found.

This is still an issue - we're using GreenHopper 6.1.3.2 atop JIRA v5.2.7#850-sha1:b2af0c8, and it happens in all browsers. I've submitted a support issue through the "Report a problem" link in our JIRA.

dtdavid: The customer never followed up so we didn't get any further with it. If you're having this problem and have already updated to the latest GreenHopper I'd recommend logign a support issue.

            Thanks,
            Shaun
