It happens to me very often that I accidentally click the "Close" button on the modal screen of an issue when I mean to click the "Resolve" button, losing my resolution comment. This is particularly easy to fall into the trap if the modal screen is not scrolled down enough to show the "Resolve" button.

Now I have to repeatedly remind myself not to fall into the trap again whenever I work with a modal screen of GH. This makes using GH a very unpleasant experience for me.

I propose to replace the "Close" button of modal screens with a round cross icon on the top-left or top-right of the modal screens. (The button panel can be hidden if no other buttons are left.)

Alternatively, please warn the user if the "Close" button is clicked but the user has entered some changes on the modal screen, just like what JIRA does.

I've taken the liberty of changing the title of the issue to reflect the problem, rather than a specific suggested solution. I would urge you to consider re-opening this, as it does seem to be a pretty common usability issue with GreenHopper. Personally, I have disabled the JIRA iframe functionality entirely in GreenHopper because this bothered me so much.

            Hey Alex,

Our dialogs are now AUI, and the Close link is the standard.

            As such, closing Won't Fix.

            Thanks Alex,
            Nick
