Different Issue Type in the Review Changes of Roadmap Plans due to Issue Type Scheme

      Summary

If the Issue Type scheme has the default type set to Story, when creating an Epic within an AR Plan and going to Review changes >> Save selected changes in Jira, you'll see the Story type selected instead of the Epic one. The same happens for different issue types.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Set at least one required field so the Set Required Fields window pops up
      2. Check the Issue Type schemes, selecting other than Epic as the default issue type
      3. Go to the AR Plan and create an Epic in the plan
      4. Click on Review changes >> Save selected changes in Jira >> You'll see a different issue type

      Expected Results

The same Issue Type shows up in the Set Required Fields pop-up window

      Actual Results

The Set Required Fields pop-up window seems to be considering the Issue Type scheme default selection instead of the already selected type.

Note that, if the Issue Type Scheme has None as the default type, the window will display the first Issue Type from the list of the scheme.

      Workaround

      • In the Set Required Fields pop-up window, you can click on the Issue Type icon to select back the original issue type

      Or

      • Canceling the changes and opening it again will display the right issue type (and the next issues usually show the right type as well in the plan until you navigate out of the plan and back again or test different issue types in the plan as far I noticed.)
