Issue Summary
The "Start date" and "End date" combo boxes are not programmatically defined.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the "Complete sprint" modal dialog.
- Using the screen reader, navigate to the mentioned input field in the modal dialog.
- Observe that the input fields have the functionality of an editable combo box.
Screenshot
Actual Results
When the user navigates to the "Start date" or "End date" input field and presses the down arrow key the calendar opens to select the date and time, which show the functionality of the combo box but do not possess the role and state of the combo box.
As a result, screen reader users will find it difficult to understand the purpose of the input field.
Expected Results
When using a screen reader, users should understand through the instructions that on entering any data in the mentioned combo box, the content below will be updated.
Provide the appropriate roles and state to the input field as required.
Refer to the following link, for a better understanding: https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/patterns/combobox/examples/combobox-datepicker/#:~:text=The%20date%20picker%20dialog%20is,enabling%20selection%20of%20a%20date.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
