+1 I am also in need for a possibility to export whole roadmap as PDF. Without that I cannot convice management to switch fully to this tool.

Come on Atlassian, when is the ability to offload plans to share with our non-Jira literate stakeholders going to be a reality?

The ability to export the roadmap (Plan) will be critically helpful. We are modeling our project work expected into a Plan in the Dev environment. However, we would need to export this information to share with business stakeholders who do not have access to Jira (Dev). Having this as a PDF would allow us to present and share this information conveniently and prevent unnecessary delays in planning.

Given how standardized PDF export has become, this option should be universally available throughout the product. 

would be very beneficial to use this feature for customer project planning.

My organization needs to export the plan to .pdf. I need an export to provide data to managers and save plan files to other web resources.
Please make it possible to export the plan with data:

• plan name
• sprint period
• task list (hierarchy)
• assignees
• implementation dates (custom fields)

I would expect this as a standard feature. Advanced roadmap is in the Premium price package and should be completed as a necessity. 

I do fully understand the Atlassian workflow and in most instances I agree that new functionality needs to gather interest and get voted up in order for you to prioritise, however, most teams are on a journey to fully utilising these tools and require such basic functions as printing their roadmaps. I fully believe this should be prioritised based on the fact that printing a roadmap should have been either part of the shippable product or the very early subsequent releases. Please do consider this asap.

Trying to walk a fine line between respectful and annoyed, but this is a bare minimum requirement. Please push this up your priority list. Use cases aren't even to share with 3rd parties, but within our internal organization for those who do not access to the full tool who we report to. 

Incredible that I have to use 3rd party work around to capture this. I even find myself making Screen Captures of my Advance Roadmap to highlight certain areas at certain levels of detail. 

I would go so far as to suggest that this is basic functionality that is expected of any project management software. Additionally, I'd suggest including the ability to include my company logo on any PDF exports would be highly regarded.

Please do add this, there is no way to share plans in graphic form with our thrid party cooperators or clients

Same here - how to do a projectplan without pdf-export? Absolutely a basic requirement.

I've confirmed that you can embed a plan in a Confluence page, and it displays there. But our Export to PDF did not show the plan, so I had to do a Print to PDF to get the image

All the comments above are so polite, but I'm very frustratedUnable to render embedded object: File (  I just uploaded my plan and now realize I can't export it to .pdf to share with my management and have to resort to screenshots to put it in a powerpoint) not found.  That's LAME!  I feel like I completely wasted my time!!!!!  This feature is not a nice to have it's a necessity.  I can't imagine why you wouldn't have resolved this issue already as it is so obviously a high priority for LOTS of people, but I have a sinking feeling this comment and additional vote won't matter.

would love to have the ability to export a Plan in multiple ways, particularly when reporting upwards (e.g., .jpeg or .pdf) in GoogleSlides or PowerPoint.

Much needed. We're forced to keep things outside the tool for roadmap and try to reconcile to the Epics and tasks and it never works.

We could definitely use to have this option especially to present the roadmap to executive management.

It would be good to export to a PDF or an image export would work too. In addition, provide a few options to include the roadmap name, or additional info to display. Plus what part of the hierarchy to include when exporting. 

This is a highly needed feature! Maybe with some styling options too  
But a basic pdf would already do the job !

We want to share the roadmap with Cross functional teams who don't have access to Jira. Export in CSV format won't add value. Looking forward to PDF export option, ASAP

This has been open since 2016 and it's not a major change to the platform. Not getting my hopes up.

This has been requested in my organization too, where we're trying to wean people off spreadsheets.  Hopefully it will be included as a feature soon.

As part of the print out capability, if users could graphically see dependencies that would be perfect also. Something similar to road monk.

My organization could really benefit from this functionality.  Our Product Owners are clamoring for it.

Hi everyone! Beside the browser trick, you could also try the Portfolio for Jira + Better PDF Exporter integration.

It does not simply export the view from your browser, but it can compile customizable PDF exports from the portfolio items.

This recommendation is outstanding! I tried this on some of our plans and it worked great.  

Obviously it would still be preferable to have Atlassian provide a button to export the pdf, but this will still save us a ton of time.

Workaround that worked for me.

Zoom out in browser until you can see all rows at once (usually helps to tweak custom range for Gantt bar chart)...then use browser to print to pdf with 30% scale (adjust based on your needs) with the background graphics option selected.  Then select appropriate paper size (i used legal in landscape).  

Our customer is also in need for this option, please take this suggestion into account!

This is absolutely critical as a feature, otherwise it's hard to use as a strategic planning tool where you inevitably need to put plans into reports etc.

As very simple fix - remove the scrollbar on the bottom box so it can be printed / PDF exported as one document; as a hack, this actually works if you use the F12 DOM editor to change:

• div with id portfolio-roadmap-table-content-scroller - remove the bottom: 0 style
• parent of that div - remove the overflow: hidden style
